My Story

Hi!

My name is Lorry Marie Green, but you can call me Lorry. I am a connector at heart with a deep love for community and for creating spaces where people can grow, heal, and become more of who they truly are. I’m so grateful you’re here and taking a moment to learn about my journey. My hope is that something in my story inspires you to trust in your own.

I became a hairstylist in 2001, and even in those early days of being behind the chair, I had a vision and a passion to create a career-based salon company with a culture that hairstylists like myself could thrive in. A place where someone could not only grow in their career, but more importantly in their personal lives as well.

In 2006, I had the opportunity to bring this vision to life and opened the first Elle Marie Hair Studio. What started as a dream has now grown into a successful company with multiple locations throughout Snohomish County in a community that has supported the growth of over 300 team members throughout their hairstylist journey. 

Creating spaces where people rise

Throughout my almost two decades of leading, I’ve learned that my greatest gift is not building hair salons, but in creating spaces where people can step into their fullest potential. I’ve always known that success means more than just numbers. Success to me includes courage, connection, community, & growth. Successful people ultimately come from within cultures where they feel seen and inspired to thrive.

Like many of us, I experienced burnout before I even had words to describe it. That realization and moment became a turning point in my life. It prompted a pause, a space that allowed me to slow down, to heal, and to begin exploring a new way of connecting to myself and to others.

As I’ve navigated my own journey, I’ve learned something that feels deeply personal to all of us. I believe that instead of work-life balance, rather, one might benefit from work-life harmony. And that is the perspective I needed all along. It’s about weaving together our career & work, home & daily life, gifts & purpose, and love & passion in a way that feels harmonious with who we are and how we show up in the world. This creates the harmony we all long for. 

A new calling begins

Since 2022, I’ve co-facilitated over 30 immersive retreats, Sound baths, Circles, and various events in the wellness space. I’m proud to have earned my Sound Healing and Reiki certifications and July 2026, I complete my 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, furthering my education in embodiment and presence. I am grateful to hold the knowledge and will continue to put myself in places of expansion and growth.

I believe we are all perpetual students. Many of the ideas and practices that I’ve come to believe in are a result of those I’ve learned from throughout my journey. I don’t believe I have it all together. I believe I am constantly learning and growing in perspective and point of view.

Coming HOME

This path has naturally led me to create and build the HOME Studio, and it is a concept that feels very personal to me. HOME Studio is born out of the philosophy of Honoring Ourselves through Mindful Embodiment. HOME is a space where healing, creativity, and conscious connections happen. It is here that I facilitate sound baths, sister circles, and workshops, as well as collaborate with others to bring gatherings into this space where individuals can reconnect with their own rhythm and find their way home.

Whether it is mentoring a stylist, facilitating a retreat, or leading individuals on a sound journey, my mission is always the same. I am here to facilitate experiences and communities that allow individuals to grow, heal, and lead from their true self.

My story is still being written, and yet one thing has remained constant. If you have vision, perseverance, and heart, it is possible to create something bigger than yourself. A business. A community. And most importantly for me, a life that intersects with the lives of others along the way.
